Crystal Lo is an exceptional visual and brand designer from Taiwan, currently based in New York, with outstanding creative talent in brand identity, product design, and visual storytelling. She earned her Master’s degree in Product Design from the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Since 2015, Crystal has consistently received recognition in the design world. Her project Reeform was a finalist in the 2018 Golden Pin Concept Design Award and was featured by Yanko Design, a major design media platform with over 5 million monthly views. Her CO Filter System project received a Merit Award in the 2016 Corning Future Innovator Competition, ranking 4th out of 230 elite teams and 760 participants (top 1.74%). Another project, Bokit, was a finalist in the 2017 Taiwan International Student Design Competition, placing 423rd out of 18,000 entries from 910 schools in 71 countries (top 2.35%). Her work Kuddle was featured on the official NYCxDESIGN Instagram account and showcased on Core77, a leading design platform with 1.5 million monthly unique visitors—highlighting her professional strength in the design industry.
With a strong background in product design, Crystal successfully expanded into visual and brand design, creating compelling and user-centered brand experiences. She currently works as a core designer at VMGROUPE, a top luxury creative agency in New York, where she provides visual and branding services for globally renowned clients such as L’Oréal, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, and IT Cosmetics. Her work has been featured in WWD, Harper’s Bazaar, Hypebeast, and other premier fashion and design publications. She has also collaborated with celebrities like Victoria’s Secret model Taylor Hill, Australian model Bambi Northwood-Blyth, and singer/actress/choreographer Teyana Taylor to create high-end visual campaigns for international brands.
Although Crystal’s O-1 visa petition was successfully approved back in July of last year, she has recently been considering launching her own studio. She has strong capabilities in graphic design, visual design, brand identity, packaging, and product design. Her storyboards, created for world-famous brands, are brimming with creativity and demonstrate her exceptional visual storytelling skills.
