As of July 2025, USCIS is grappling with a record-breaking backlog of 11.3 million pending immigration applications. This backlog marks the highest volume of pending cases ever recorded by the agency. For the first time in over a year, USCIS reported a “frontlog”—cases received but not yet opened or officially entered into the processing system—that stands at more than 34,000. Family based adjustment applications appear to be less severely affected if a complete filing is submitted. In recent cases filed by our office, an Indian couple had their interview scheduled just four months after filing in March 2025, and an Argentinian client received approval in under four months after filing in April 2025. These fast-track outcomes stand out in a time of widespread delays. For more on the national backlog, read the full Newsweek article here.
We are pleased to report that despite the current difficulties in getting National Interest Waiver cases approved, Jane Orgel PC recently received an approval for an Orchestral Conductor from Hong Kong. The case was filed using the Premium Processing service and despite a harsh Request for Evidence, we prevailed.
