Extraordinary Ability Green Card, O-1 for extraordinary ability

Katya Grokhovsky, a renowned visual artist and curator, received her O-1 visa and Extraordinary Ability Green Card through our office. We handled Katya’s initial O-1 application after she graduated from School of The Art Institute of Chicago with an MFA in sculpture in 2011. Whilst on OPT (Optional Practical Training), Katya enlisted our guidance as to how to prepare for a successful O-1 application. Her initial O-1 was approved in August 2012 for a three year period. We renewed her O-1 visa on a three year basis until filing an Extraordinary Ability Green Card application for her in 2018. This was approved within 9 months with regular processing. Katya writes:

“It has been a great pleasure working with Jane Orgel over the last 8 years of my career in the US, and I can’t possibly imagine where I would be without her Law Firm today. She has provided guidance, meticulous attention to detail and impeccable professional attitude all along our journey together; from securing several O-1s to an approval of my EB-1. As an artist, my path is often unclear and rocky and Jane understood the specifics of my industry, my individual cases, my work and my aspirations. She never implied it was going to be easy or quick, and she was there through every painstaking step of the way, had confidence in me, answered my inquires and gave timely advice. I highly recommend her services to any international artist or creative professional.”
