O-1 for extraordinary ability
“I’m a political journalist who moved to New York in 2013 for a Master’s degree in journalism. When I realized my work authorization on my F-1 visa was going to expire, I reached out to a friend who was facing a similar situation. She referred me to Jane Orgel.
At first, I was worried that getting an O-1 visa might be near impossible given the requirements. But, Jane put my fears to rest at our first meeting. She gave me specific instructions on the materials I had to collect and her office helped me at every step of the way. They patiently walked me through the confusing, and intimidating, immigration paperwork. They were quick and responsive whenever I had any concerns and they diligently evaluated my application materials to make sure that I hadn’t made any mistakes.
After sending in my completed application in mid-July, I received my visa in less than two weeks, allowing me to quickly return to work. I’m very glad to have retained Jane’s services, and will likely do so again in the future.”

He received a master’s degree in Magazine Journalism from New York University and is currently employed by Gotham Gazette in New York.
